1.0.5RC2 editing of older postings problem 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi - thanks for the great looking release of 1.0.5. I upgraded from 1.0.4 without any errors and all was looking good until I tried to edit a posting that I had created in 1.0.4. When I edited a posting, I got the error:

Invalid id requested for posting (or words to that effect).

I've tried editing other posts and haven't had this error again.
However, I was expecting to get a message about the posting having to be moderated (I have setup a forum to be moderated and it works with new threads).
I since discovered that the edit messages show up in the pending messages list when logging in as a moderator which is great as this was a change you made in this version.

The problem I have is that the moderator is not alerted that there are posts that have been edited and need to be approved and the person making the edits is not informed that their message will be placed on hold. It simply disappears from the list until it is re-approved.

Has this been reported by anyone else (I couldn't find any posts about it) and are you aware of this apparent problem? It really needs to be addressed I think because if you have a lot of catagories it would mean trawling through them regularly to see if any messages are pending. At least if you get an email about the edit, you can go into the category and approve the message.

BTW - have you had any requests to make a posting (that is moderated) publishable from within the email message to the moderator? Jom comment has this feature where you can approve a comment (or delete it) from a link in the email to the moderator which saves you having to login to the forum just to approve the posting. Very handy and a real timesaver.

Thanks for a great component. It really is looking good.
