Is this the right way to do it? 1 Year ago
I have tried to update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.3 and it didnīt work out well. I had to do a clean new installation. Now it works fine after deleting the old version and databases.

Now i have one more forum that iīm going to update from 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 and i donīt want to miss all old threads. I just want to ask if i have understand the right way to do this:

* use my ftp to owerwrite the files that are in the "patch_to_Fireboard_Forum_1.0.3.zip". There are 2 arcives in there, administrator and components. Does it mean all content, even the _fbfiles?

* Then i shall copy "components/com_fireboard/_fbfiles" directory in the extracted package to "Joomla_Root/images" directory and rename it to "fbfiles. Is it the samt file as above with the name _fbfles_dist?

* Next step is to remove old directories and content in "components/com_fireboards/avatars","components/com_fireboards/images", "components/com_fireboards/uploaded/files", "components/com_fireboards/uploaded/images" to the new "Joomla_Root/images/fbfiles".

* Then i execute the queries inside phpmyadmin. I open "Upgrades/Fireboard_101_to_1.0.3.Stable.sql", paste the text in the file in the input area in sql and click go.

* After i have checked that i have the latset version i have to enter the control panel and clck on "Recount Categories Stats"

Is this the right way, or have i missunderstod anything????
