Can Joomlaboard and Fireboard "co-exist"? 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I just moved my site to a new server and did a fresh install of Joomla and of course, the new Fireboard stable. It rocks! Thanks guys!

Now, I want to also move over my old Joomlaboard so my users can see the old forums for about a year.

I think I know the answer to the question but I want to ask anyway to be safe.

Can I now go and install joomlaboard without it affecting the install of Fireboard?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure there is a converter for it, and I found a thread that mentions this

www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,co...iew/id,4536/catid,6/

I read only a little of it, but perhaps it will help you out.

They can "exist" together but they do not "communicate" with each other. They are totally separate entities. You can upgrade to Fireboard from Joomlaboard but not the other way around.

Thanks grumblemarc, that's exactly what I needed to know. I want them to exist separately as I only want to allow read-only access to the old joomlaboard for about a year then I will remove it.

Thanks again!
