Oh, bummer.. I already did that.. Didn't make it work All that did was get rid of the always-open quick-reply, button still busted (IE cannot get the quick-reply to OPEN now).

No no, I mean IE as in In Example, not Internet Exploder, heh).. But tnx for trying at least.. No idea why it won't open at all now, but I suspect the reason it won't open has to do with the reason it was staying open (and the button wouldn't close it at that time either)....

Hmm.. I applied the "fix" here: pastebin.com/f3bd0a1aa

The quick reply box was then remover from all the post messages. But the quick reply button does not work. Have anyone finally gotten this to work the way it should?

I tinkered with it for awhile and never got anywhere with it. At the time, I decided that having quick replies NOT pop up automatically was more important than actually having functional quick replies.

The good news is that with the re-write of much of the code for 1.1.x that's in alpha now, hopefully issues like this will be long forgotten

Just to clarify, which part of it has been correct, or all of it? Meaning..

Of course my assumption tells me that the posted was applied to the FB code removing the quick-reply boxes to all pop up.

But for many (all?) of us, doing this 'fix' also completely disables the Quick-Reply button. Does the button now function properly, or will we be in the same situation we are in now?
