When upgrading from Joomlaboard the forums don't 1 Year ago
|
|
|
As per the instructions
Once you enter the control panel, at top of the page you will notice a dialogue is asking you weather you want to upgrade from “Joomlaboard” or a “Clean Install”. Click on “Import from Joomlaboard” and Fireboard will automatically import your database and file structure.
I don't get this dialogue, and none of the stuff I have on joomlaboard is on the fireboard, has anyone else had this problem?

If you don't get this then you did not follow the upgrade directions properly. Did you install Fireboard previously and maybe uninstall it?

I had installed Fireboard previously, but I un-installed it. I've always had this problem when trying to install Fireboard.

The instructions say to delete the Fireboard database tables. Did you do that?

1.First, unpack the archive on your local computer. First, unpack the archive on your local computer.
2.Go to your Joomla! Administration à Installer à Componenets
3.Select the “component_Fireboard_Forum_1.0.4.zip” package and click on “Install”.
4.After a successful installation, go to Components à Fireboard Forum
5.Once you enter the control panel, at top of the page you will notice a dialogue is asking you weather you want to upgrade from “Joomlaboard” or a “Clean Install”. Click on “Import from Joomlaboard” and Fireboard will automatically import your database and file structure.
Those are the instructions I used, it mentions nothing about deleting the tables. How would I go about doing that?

Skip to the upgrade parts since you once installed Fireboard before.

I am having this problem too. There is no "import from joomlaboard" option and while fireboard does seem to import a portion of my joomlaboard data, it dates back to april of this year -- not pulling in anything from april until present. Please advise.
