[SOLVED]Template and plugin directory matters 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello,

I'm planning to upgrade my production site to 1.0.4 however i have a question and i'm not sure of the answer.

On my site, like many of you, i use a custom fireboard template. Browsing the files of the site i noticed that in the directory of my custom template is present a "plugin" directory which contain all the fireboard plugin files like in the default template directory. When i wanted to tweak those plugins i had to modify the files in my custom template directory to allow the changes to take effect.

My question is :
When overwriting the fireboard files with the patch archive will this plugin directory be updated too ?

My guess is no but to be honest i never understood this plugin directory in my custom template directory, could someone bring some insight on this ?

Thanks.

Ok, this is confirmed you have to overwrite the plugin directory present in your custom template directory.

This is one more inescapable step to upgrade to 1.0.4, would be good to be added in the wiki as i guess i'm not alone to use a custom theme.

Sorry, I missed this somehow or I would've confirmed this. I had to do this for all my custom templates. Surely there's a simple way to separate the logic elements from the template elements?

Thanks for confirming this too, to close the question for good is there any other file except the plugin directory to overwrite in our custom template directory ?
