No dialog link to upgrade from Joomlaboard 2 Months ago
Hello,

I would like to upgrade my Joomlaboard forum 1.1.3 to Fireboard 1.1.5RC1. Install of Fireboard was fine, but I don't have any dialog to upgrade my forum as stated on the wiki (www.bestofjoomla.net/wiki/com_fireboard/...ade_from_joomlaboard)

I've upgraded my Joomlaboard from 1.1.3 to 1.1.5, but no change. I've also tried installing Fireboard 1.4, but no dialog neither.

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help!

Delete all FireBoard tables from the database and all FireBoard directories from Joomla before attempting to upgrade JoomlaBoard.

Ok, here is what I've done so far:
1) uninstalled Fireboard from the Joomla admin view
2) Checked by ftp if any Fireboard files were left, but found nothing
3) deleted the following tables under phpmyadmin:
- dbname_fb_announcement
- dbname_fb_attachments
- dbname_fb_categories
- dbname_fb_config
- dbname_fb_favorites
- dbname_fb_groups
- dbname_fb_messages
- dbname_fb_messages_text
- dbname_fb_moderation
- dbname_fb_ranks
- dbname_fb_sessions
- dbname_fb_smileys
- dbname_fb_subscriptions
- dbname_fb_users
- dbname_fb_version
- dbname_fb_whoisonline
4) installed Fireboard from the Joomla admin view

Result: no change, I still don't have the link to upgrade my Joomlaboard.

I have done the exact same thing 3 times in a row now...

I have a huge Joomlaboard and I will happily move to FB
when I can migrate.

I have, as above...
-deleted all the tables
-made darn sure there is no FB leftovers from a previous install

I then go into admin to upload the latest RC3 build 808 or whatever.
Success.

I then go into the Control Panel under components and no sign of
"Upgrade from Joomlaboard..."

Scratching my head I must say...

Oddly... I have another Joomla on another directory on the SAME server...
And I went through he same exercise on this OTHER Joomla install...
and on that one, I get the "UPDATE FROM Joomlaboard!"

Huh? I have been comparing the two sites for over an hour...
They both use the same MySQL Db - and PHP5...

and yet...

and yet.

Thinking about this a bit more --

There must be a chunk of MySQL that is used
in the "fresh Install..."

We could just "manually" do this in myPhpAdmin
if we wanted to yea?
