Hi guys and congratulations for the great job and the great support. I have fireboard version 1.0.3 and i want to upgrade to version 1.0.5 , but i want everything to stay the same, all of my posts and topics and of course my forum members want to remain to the new, upgraded version.
Can you help me and tell me exactly what to do? I am confused.
Thanks in advance

Please follow the directions in the README file. They are very detailed.

Yes, but it is a bit complicated. It says to run the conventer (zip file) and then, it says "you MUST not run the converter". Can you advice me please?

lol, I have never used the converter, so I can't be of much help
1 - First step, backup your site and database.
2 - This component needs to be installed while a pre 1.0.5 FireBoard install is present. It will look for the existing config file and convert it into a database table. Once successfully installed, the component can be uninstalled right away. It has no other functionality.
The conversion can be repeated as often as required and will simply override the most current database settings with the current content of the config file.
3 - Install com_fbconverter. If everything goes well it should finish without errors and a success message
4- Uninstall com_fbconverter. It does nothing else besides the initial conversion
5 - now you can already install your FB1.0.5RC1, converter will not work for FB1.0.4
Did I say to backup your site before doing nothing? :whistles:
