I was just about to go through a very convoluted process to integrate Joomla and SMF through JoomlaHacks, Automatic Account Expiry or AMember Pro and iDevAffiliate, which was looking more complex by the day due to the way they all integrate with each other.

Fireboard, being native to Joomla would solve these issues instantly.

First - in terms of functionality and useability how does Fireboard compare to SMF?

Also I use RocketTheme templates. Are there any matching Fireboard templates available and if not how easy are they to integrate?

I do not know of anyone who has produced Rocket Theme based templates and probably won't due to copyrights.

Fireboard is still an in-development product so SMF will certainly be more feature rich.
