I just installed Fire Board to Joomla 1.5, it went through but now what do I do?
I have loaded the sample Data but where can I see something?
I don't know how to retrieve the users I alredy have in joomla (or do I need to redefine them?)
I looks great but I can't figure out how to use it
Please some basic starting help!

I could use the same. I just installed fireboard on joomla 1.0.13 and can access the admin interface, but do not see how to integrate it into my site. I'd like to know how to place the forum in specific places, but I do not see any module or anything

OK I think I figured it out. Go to the menu manager, create a menu, create a menu item and choose "component" then fireboard forum. Then you can add this under your site modules. Now I need to figure out how to make specific forums appear under specific areas in my site.

I had the same frustrations, and it got worse when I came to this forum, badly labeled "Documentation". They took time to create the section and then left it empty - go figure.

Here is what I did to figure out the basics. Each forum or category I created was labeled as Forum #1, Forum #2, Forum #3..., Category #1, Category #2... For each one I added a brief description and then went to the board and looked to see where each one was. I could then move stuff around.

As for your users, you will have to re-register them within Fireboard. Kinda goofy I know but from what I learned this is the way the system is setup. If you don't know a users password they will have to register on Fireboard themself. I thought this thing was supposed to be bridged but I guess they forgot the registered member part.

I got the same problem .... After install Fireboard, tried to configure, created a new Category, but it didn't show up ....

Another problem : Any body know how to open Fireboard in a new window with its own template ?

Hi folks, I will pin up a few of the basic tutorials for 1.x Joomla but as of yet I have not started on the 1.5 fork so I cant really help with that yet - as its a Beta program still you should only be using it if you are 100% sure you can do your own bugfixing and tracking.

Yeah I had a hard time for discovering how to check the forum too after installation.
After few hours, I found out this... youwebsite.com//index.php?option=com_fireboard

By the way, my joomla is installed in the root directory.
My problem now is how to unwrap fireboard on the main site.... meaning open the board as a separate webpage.

You must publish your forum then only can show in the forum.
