Forum Link on left 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I wanted to say that Joomla is awesome. It is exactly what I was looking for. It has been awhile since I have put up a site and wanted a template to just upload. Joomla rocks.

On to the question..

So I am using the solarflare joomla board and I am using Fireboard. I get the forum configured but I can't get it to attach to the forum link that is already there. It wan't to create a new button that is different than what is there. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I tried to give as much info as possible but if you need more please let me know.

If you had searched you would have found dozens of exactly the same threads / questions. There is also a wiki which will probably guide you through any questions. Joomla backend / menu / mainmenu: new -> component -> select fireboard

If you had chosen to actually read my post then give the usual "use the search button" the directions you gave are for adding the fireboard. I said I had that. It is creating a different button then what what was already on the template.

I did search but could not find what I was looking for, but you did make your epeen really huge so +1 for you.

I don't know anyone else but your post really isn't making any sense to me. What do you mean "It is creating a different button then what what was already on the template"? What button and what template? Maybe you'd like to provide a screen shot for clarification? Are you talking about adding a link to your FireBoard forum on your Joomla template? That's about as basic as you can get. Maybe you should check the Joomla help pages since that is a Joomla thing and NOT a FireBoard one. Read my sig.

My advice? Ditch the Solarflare template. It's will be very hard for you to configure.

Hello, this is my first post on this board

Sorry for my pure English on the beginning

I have the same problem as Pippin

In real example:

I have web page harcerze2.rozklady.org.pl

When I click on "Forum" in "Szczep im. BMC" section I have list of all forums and black template from CSS.

In "Dywizja Zubów" section I wont make a menu item on left other menu to "Forum DZ" when I create link, it was redirect me to "Szczep im. BMC" section and I don't wont it
I want stay in "Dywizja Zubów" section and see only "Forum DZ" and sub forums of it with FireBoard using CSS from blue template.

How create that menu item?

I using Joomla CSS in FireBoard.

I try solve problem with menu item as link to specific forum in another section as "main" component
in another words, i try create menu item to component (fireboard) but only to specific forum, not to root. and I think my problem is same as Pippin so I describe the best as I can.

If you post and haven't searched first, it might get deleted.
I searched off course, and I find this topic
