Well, release notes is "your part".
SEO - we have a lot of people dealing with it around, almost anyone can contribute.

FAQs- that's the area where even the people with no time could spend 10 minutes to write one FAQ to be included. Something they suffered, found the solution and could help avoiding the users having the same problem in the future.

I will write now the sample data part in order to show to the X thousand people around, that you can't just demand all the time.

Agreed.

I will do the release notes and possibly the install and upgrade portions as I have started writing those up as posts for the Nightly builds.

Thx!

Here it comes, the sample data part as PDF.
It is in Google Docs, so if anyone is interested, I can share it with him/her there. Just provide me with your ID there.

It is a shame, that none wants to contribute.

Just choose one of the sections above (on which you feel most comfortable) and go on. Each section is not more than 3 pages.

Looks very good for starting.

It could also be great when people that want the software fastest/the most/bug free/... contribute too. Documentation is something every average user can do (with some level of english). It doesn't need to be perfect, but it will come with time.

Looking forward to seeing your names here.

I completed the rank management as well. PDF is attached to the post. After all chapters are ready, we can merge them into a single document, providing sufficient documentation in respect to Fireboard - of course, if you contribute a bit.

Here is the table of contents. Bold chapters are completed or assigned. Pick one of the others and help us in building good documentation. The order of the chapters will be updated after all are completed. Even if you don't feel enough comfortable to write whole chapter, you can help by posting FAQs that will be included in the documentation.

Table of contents:
1. Installation - assigned to fxstein
2. Upgrade - assigned to fxstein
3. Configuration
4. Sample data - completed by Ivo Apostolov
5. Creation and management of boards
6. Access levels and moderation
7. User Administration
8. Uploaded files
9. Uploaded images
10. Change templates/edit CSS
11. Pruning forums
12. Synchronization of users
13. Smilies management
14. Rank management - completed by Ivo Apostolov
15. Statistics
16. Frontend moderation
17. Other frontend features
18. Integration with other extensions
19. Plugins system
20. Fireboard extensions (modules, plugins)
21. Translating Fireboard
22. Release Notes - assigned to fxstein
23. Search engine optimization (SEO)
24. FAQs

Edit: Why it is no longer possible to attach PDF files?
