It seems the "banned" users on CB can still post on Fireboard. I think that FB installation where CB is enabled as integration by config, should not admit posts by blocked users. Note: "banned" field on CB jos_comprofiler table is different than "block" field on joomla jos_users table. Former enables user to access his profile, just to ask for unban, while latter disable you from any access.

Interesting. The CB/FB integration is very poor IMO. But who do you suppose needs to find the "fix"? BOJ or Joomlopolis?

Well, IMHO CB should offer an API (if it doesn't exists already) in order to "check" the users global status enabled/disabled. That's avoid problems like cb-tables struct changes ect.. BOJ should block the user when he is posting while he couldn't and also hide the New-Topic and Reply buttons in any FB page.
