Rocket, you guys always come through with some great stuff from day 1. I like this style but it just seems played out.

Everyone is focusing on the news/media/blog template designs. There are so many people that belong to all of these clubs that are looking for more edgy, non box type and out of the norm looks.

I know everyone is thinking the CMS is being used so much more now for larger business and these types of themes are needed but are they?

Can anyone name me 3 high ranking sites that use Joomla that are based on news/magazine/media?

MediaMogul delivers what it promises and comes with excellent support. I found Rockettheme to have an excellent member forum for user support. The templates come with preinstalled demo content that allow a 'newbie' to quickly adapt a template such as MediaMogul to his or her own needs.

You must work for them. The demo content, for a newbie, is a nightmare to try and tackle. The included modules require a PHD to operate for most. These templates are getting harder and harder to configure as time goes on. Being more complex there is a tendency for it to also break itself, or break add-ons, when over-zealous "newbies" try and pack as many "wow" items as they can onto their Joomla install.

I think you have grossly overstated the issues and realities. As I have noted above, the Rockettheme support for MediaMogul has proven to be excellent -- your dismissive comment to the effect that I work for them (as a newbie user) is misleading and counter factual.

As to overloading the template with eye candy, this is a problem that is not peculiar to MediaMogul or RocketTheme. Poor design and modeule/feature overload is simply a function of ignorance and as such is altogether platform-independent.

Your criticism unfairly moves from the general to the specific.
