I think JOOMUNITY is great, needs NO documentation, but it would be greater if it could support plugins like UDDEIM etc, and "compatibility" with FIRE MESSAGE & FIRE BOARD would be nice. Once again great work.

I think that this could be a truly great component.

But there are several issues though.

First, for those who have a lot of users, and run a site that's ben online for a couple of months, need ceveral import functions.

My site (for example) uses GroupJive for groups, uddeIM for PM, Fireboard, CB with NinJoomla extensions (jSpaces), MyBlog and jAwards.

1. Will my users have to rebuild their friends-network?

2. Must each and every Group have to be rebuilt?

3. aso...

You get the picture. But don't get me wrong, I have great faith in your project and like it's features and ambitions. I'm just a bit concerned about the migration scenario.

If yo could make this scenario painless, I wouldn't be the only one who would gladly pay for such an interesting component.

Keep up the great work.

Yeah right. And the first time something breaks you and everyone else will be the first screaming "Where's the documentation?".

Will members be able to add favorite articles or banners (in the case of shopping sites) to their personal page? I'm building a shopping site where registered users can have a personal page and add their favorite stores and a favorite charity to it (might be articles, might be banners) and have a place to add notes.

Will I be able to do this with Joomunity? I sure hope so. It doesn't have to be fancy, a simple link will work. I haven't found anything close yet. I'm using 1.5.

This looks fantastic so far. Please let us know when we can see more. Thank you!!!

Looks good. It would need to be a major improvement over CB for me to consider switching.

Looks good a bit of competition to cb is needed. I have a modified version of CB working that will allow you to create any style of profile you like. I will be launching the site within the next the couple of weeks with the modified cb files as a free download. If you know a bit of html and css you can make cb look like any of the major social networking sites.

p.s im no way affiliated with joomlapolis and they do not support or have any interest in what im using! When asked about why cb is so ugly they just shrug you off. So i done something about it!
