I have watched in the section download but the two plugin there aren't (fireboard userlist plugin and fbprofile plugin).

They are modified versions of components found at extensions.joomla.org. The ones used HERE are NOT available for download.

I have seen that two plugin ( fireboard userlist plugin and fbprofile plugin) are within com_fireboardtemplatedefaultplugin
What I make to use them?

You don't do anything with them. They are needed to make FireBoard work. They are not add ons.

I am also interested in finding out how to put together a "profiles" page like the one found here on bestofjoomla.com. Can someone point me in the right direction?

yeah, i'd love a nice users list that when you click on a users name it links to the/a PM message.

users can do this now on our site via clicking PM but having that same functionality in a separate user list would be great.
