Hello,

i tried to install the fb_templatechooser. i managed it to be shown under my forum. but when i choose another template and click the "select"-Button it directs to

/index2.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=0

instead of

/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=0

The result is, that it doesn't use the correct joomla-template for the background and the templatechooser is missing under the forum.

How do i make it use the right index.php file?

I can't help you either yet, but I was wondering if you might help me
to get my template chooser to show in my fireboard maybe.

I am using the default template and fireboard is working....and I uploaded and
used the module installer and it seems like it worked to install the
template chooser just fine. Now I don't know how to get it to show up in my
forums at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

i still didnt get it to load the index.php but it doesn't matter so much, because i got it look the same when it uses index2.php

Let me try to help you with your problem.
You got Joomla! and the FireBoard working and installed the module for the template chooser.

Now you want Joomla! to display the Module under your Forum.

Joomla! only displays any modules on predefined positions. Fireboard also has such positions included but Joomla! doesn't know these. The one under the forum is called "fb_bottom".

Login to the Joomla! admin-backend go to menu Site -> Template Manager -> Module Positions.
Make a new entry called fb_bottom.

Now Joomla! knows about that position and you kann assign the module to it.
Therefor go to the menu Modules -> Site Modules. Open the settings for the module of the fireboard template chooser (not the one for joomla itself) and set its position to "fb_bottom" and publish it.

thats it. now it should be shown under your fireboard.
