runs the promotional movie on the "home" page of bestofjoomla.com?
When clicking it that coolt fade to grey effect appers and the movie plays. Link is www.bestofjoomla.com/misc/promotional_vi...ht=295&width=480

Is it a component/module/mambot?

Not sure specifically, but JW Media Manager XTD allows for videos to play in a LightBox window.

Yes, but I can't get it to show from the frontpage only in the backend? Have anybody done this (expet on this site)?
