Hmm... I haven't been told about the 500 error before reading it here. Perhaps if you could tell me more?
Oh, and for the guy who never got an eMail, I had it resend all pending validations... so hopefully you got that?
And to the person who asked about changing languages, you can change almost everything in the new module. I however didn't think about Days and Months... so I will make this editable in the next version.
This project is alive and well, and Fireboards ongoing activity, and your concern for a top quality module is what is keeping me going!
I've just released version 4.3 which you can get off
my site. I've included it here in the files area, and hopefully the Ops will make it available soon.
Here is what is new in version 4.3:
* Set Page Limit, works with Fireboard only. This is a needed update for Fireboard 1.0.3's new pagination.
* Replace all words with anything. Use different languages, symbols, etc.
* Optional alternative date display function. Displays days since the messages where last written, along with TODAY & YESTERDAY tags.
* Optionally show which forum the message is in, and optionally allow for linking to the forum.
* Optionally show a graphic representation for a new topic. Set the date from Today only, or all the way up to 2 weeks for the topic to be considered new. You can supply your own custom graphic or use the default one.
* Optionally show a graphic representation for a new message since the members last visit. You can supply your own custom graphic or use the default one.
* Members avatar will now show at X max size. Where X is height or width, whichever is the largest.
* Optional links to Show Latest with hour intervals that you provide.
* Allow word wrap option on topic.
* Optional Java Mouse Over Popup. Displays the entire topic name regardless of what you have it set to, and shows the first X characters from the message. You can set X to be any amount you want. You even have control over the position in relation to the mouse that the Popup appears. The Java Mouse Over Popup will only work for those that have Community Builder installed on their site.
The following is new and should work, but I didn't test it:
* Simpleboard, Joomlaboard and Fireboard support for internal Avatar display.
Here is what has been fixed:
* If you turn off the Bullets, and now the New Topic Icons and New Message Icons, the program will no longer still provide an empty area on the left side of the module. That area will go away, allowing you more room.
* Unpublished Forums with new messages will no longer show up in the display. (Example: GroupJive)
* Columns are now evenly spaced and a fixed size, should be easier to work with.
I'm already working towards the next version and in my forums you can sign up to be a tester for the module... I'm only excepting so many applicants... I would like FireBoard user with or without Community Builder installed, and Fireboard users with or without GroupJive installed. I need a good mix.
I've worked out a much better way of retrieving the information from the databases, and I'm working on making it completly display in CSS rather than in Tables.
