Sorry but I have tried doing this but I think I'm getting your instructions wrong.

When you mean admin module positions, do you mean, login to backend, go to site> template manager> module positions???

I think i'm getting this wrong because it doesn't work...

I added all these in module position...
fb_msg_t - After All Message Top

fb_msg_1 - After First Message

fb_msg_2 - After second Message

fb_msg_b - After All Message Bottom

and I don't see anything? Please help!

You don't see anything? Did you publish your adsense module to any of those positions?

HAHAHA... thank you... I'm sooo sorry for asking... I kept looking at the module positions for the template... you know top, user 1, user 2, and etc. I didn't realize that I had to create a module then choose the position. I tried looking for the module position as whole without even creating a new module...

I read every single page on this thread and my ads still do not work. I am using joomla 1.5 so there is no Template Manager >> Module Positions.

I am also using FB 1.0.4 which is suppose to (and it does from what i see in the message.php code) have the hack already done.

I Have gone about it this way:
1. I created a banner module in module manager
2. I typed (under position) fb_msg_1
3. I chose the client i need to publish in ther and clicked SAVE.

No Result.

I am using the default template for FB. Could anyone please give me some direction with this... I spent the last 5 days trying to get this done and it will not work. Is this banner on forums thing only working on previous joomla versions (before 1.5)?

I am sorry if I am anoying with my ignorance... but I am really strugling and I have tried to follow the fost and not bother - unfortunately no results..

Then you cannot implement ads. You need to be able to add module positions.

But 5 days?!!!! If you had searched the Joomla forums (since this is a Joomla task and not a FireBoard one) you would have learned, like I did, how to accomplish the task of adding module positions.

Thank you so much for the reply. I did figure out how to add module positions but only for joomla pages. As in I can put a position anywhere on your article pages or something like that. Not sure how to go about it inserting it into the actual posts... Do I edit the FB template xml file and specify where they go and then publish some ads to them?

P.S. - Five days as in a few hours there and there in between work.. not 24 hr a day..

in order to center your adsense code is put right before your code.
