TOPIC: Adding rules to lang file
#52114
Re:Adding rules to lang file 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
What baffles me is that the Developers have left this "HACKING" to the users.

I am happy with the Joomla (Static "Uncategorized" content) solution, but after reading the fix offered by FoxE, which seems so simple... it just leaves me scratching my head why they don't just handle this in the distribution.

Then if someone wished to edit the content of the rules or customize them, they could more easily modify the language file as needed.

p.s. I guess the Bestofjoomla people are not monitoring their forum...

The post/preview is still rendering errors:

Fantastic! - nice to see some posts that are clear and helpful.

Just to finish off for all those that need it step by step like me.

Go back to your Fireboard config panel and go to:

Enable rules page: "yes"

Show rules in fireboard: "yes"

Content ID: keep blank

Rules external link page: keep blank

carveyfrancis, are you aware of the result of your settings?

Without hacking, you don't get any sort of forum rules just by following your configuration settings.
