While this is part speculation, I would assume a converter should first wait until a very important and common group permissions feature is integrated into FireBoard. This way, when converted, the permissions are not lost and private boards exposed.

Before spending any money, you may want to wait a month or two until such a feature is integrated into FB, which I assume is the amount of time it should take to release the next FB version - based upon previous versions.

Do you know something we don't? Group access is planned for the next release? Truth be told NO ONE but God and the devs know what is going to be in the next release. So you are right, it's pure speculation.

The only information I am privy to is the same information you are privy to. I found reference to group permission being available in one of the next releases, specifically 1.0.4 as I recall, somewhere upon the forum and posted by a dev. So, I'd say that's a bit better than speculation, but as to whether it happens, is indeed up to God and the developers.

Well I've given up speculating and hoping for this or that. The next release will be what it is and if it addresses some issues, all the better.

this converts some messages into jb, but most of my messages are still missing. Childboards also appear as mainboards, can somebody help me please? I'm stuck in here.
I think when i successfully convert to jb, there will be no problem in jb to fb conversion.
(i'm using jb 1.1.3)

I'd switch to Fireboard if there was a way to convert SMF and planned Mambo support fir the future.

Thanks. But do you have a site you've converted using this converter? It looks a bit suspicious, particularly since this is your first post and people who have many posts throughout previous months have yet to come up with a solid converter as your purports to be.
