I understand you guys, but you should have the latest version for it. I will commit the changes to SVN today and if you can make the latest version out of it and use

Hello

Bravo for the great component!! very good job!

I just tested this SMF_to_FB.zip. everything ran well, but linking to the component displays a blank page, no error message. That was just for testing. No doubt it'll work like a charm very soon!

Thanks

Hi!

As you already know all of the convert scritps dont work for me...(SMF to FB or phpBB to FB ) having all this error:

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /home/oficinad/public_html/portal/converter.php on line 71
MySQL client ran out of memory

And its going to be impossible for my host to "give-me" more memory...

The question I want to make is:

Does the new converter from SMF to FB going to solve this problem for me??
If yes I will wait until the midle of May..

It will be shipped with beta 2. We hope to release it mid-may.

Is there any chance to add also an option to import smf data from another server? .. that will be great ...

Yes. You can arrange it in a way to transfer your site during a whole day or in 10min depending on the load you want to put on your server.

Re:SMF to FireBoard 1 Year, 8 Months ago
I have been watching this thread with great interest as I would like to run FB and ditch SMF. I still have to work out a way to migrate the SMF Gallery to another application.

Meanwhile, I see that Danialt has produced a wonderful product and is developing it as fast as he can.

So please guys, give the man a break and let him release the updates and convertors when he is ready!!

After all... The whole thing is FREE!!!

Re:SMF to FireBoard 1 Year, 8 Months ago
I'm moving my site to a new host and would like to use Fireboard there instead of the bridged (Joomlahacks) SMF installation.

Before I start the conversion to Fireboard....do I need to install SMF again first on the new host or would it be enough to just copy the SMF database.

And how about the user rights that are on SMF.
The Fireboard user rights are much more simplified because of the limitations in Joomla...how will those be after the conversion?

thx....
