Just want to confirm that the table SQL should look something like this:

Also made the following notes as I was going through because I was hacking an older version, so the line numbers where a tad out:

2.1 Insert this before:

echo '';

2.2a Probably after the line:

//clean up the message
$mailmessage = smile::purify($message);

NOTE: When you insert code the line numbers for subsequent snippets with be out of whack

2.2b After the following block:

else if ($do == "subscribe")
{
$catid = (int)$catid;
$id = (int)$id;

2.3 After the following block:

else if ($do == "unsubscribe")
{ //ergo, ergo delete

I had upgraded to 1.0.4 in hopes that this would be have been included but it looks as though it wasn't. I tried this patch to the new version and it would not work because the contents of the files are all different now. I don't know enough about it to accomplish it myself so if anyone knows how I would really appreciate a new fix.

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to setup email notifications, including text of post, for both Categories and Threads in 1.0.4 - And in addition a way to set these notifications as "on" by default for all new Users?

The Forum I am setting up is a private forum and will not have many members, so there are no worries about the volume of emails being sent.

I would be happy to pay for this modification if it does not exist.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to look into a WebAmoeba Ticket System for this. I think you can choose several recipients, the tickets send out an e-mail, and there is an online posting of the conversation.

.4 was mainly a bugfix release and not a feature release. Possibly you would prefer many features and many more bugs?

Nope, that's okay. This "Subscribe to Forum instead of Thread" feature was the one reason I installed FireBoard, and for some reason I was lead to believe that was a "standard feature". Once I realized it was not, I spent some serious time adding that feature from the instructions on this board, and by blindly upgrading to .4 I pooched the one feature I had any interest in. This forum is the only one that really does a good job of bridging Joomla user accounts, but for a forum it is clunky to use, it mangles your text when you use common "reserved" words, formatting is horribly crappy, and skinning requires changes to CODE and not just a skin file (which, by the way, was also pooched with the upgrade), I STILL cannot assign levels to forums without making them hidden to everyone but administrators, there is no CAPTCHA system to ward off SPAM bots, should I go on? You can definitely tell that FireBoard is in its infancy, and has a very small developer base. The response above is also extremely unprofessional, you will not make friends nor woo possible users with that attitude, even if that's what you're thinking.
