Re:Joomla 1.5 + Fireboard installation problems 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I'm using Fireboard 1.0.3 and Joomla 1.5.0 in Legacy mode...

After loading Fireboard and running it within a Joomla page, I'm getting error messages just about anywhere there's some reference to who is online. Also, I'm getting error messages when trying to upload a custom avatar (though using one of the stock avatars works).

On the forum mainpage (index.php/forum), here's the error message I get under "Who is Online:"

"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in .../components/com_fireboard/template/default/plugin/who/whoisonline.php on line 75

Hidden Users:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in .../components/com_fireboard/template/default/plugin/who/whoisonline.php on line 102"

Anyone have any thoughts?

Here's the url of the forum, if anyone wants to take a look at it: http://smgnews.com/index.php/new-forum

SolvedJoomla 1.5 + Fireboard install problems 8 Months ago
I am running Joomla 1.5 RC3 in legacy mode. Clean install everything working fine except:

my template, currently set to default, does not display. Everything else displays just fine; forums, categories, topics and posts all fine. The cool template look and feel is not there. By which I mean the blue 3D headers. I am at a loss and would appreciate some help and say thanks in advance. The link to my site is http://alcoholicsanonymousonline.com I will put up a forum button so you can get there easily.

If you're using Joomla style in the config, don't. If that setting is correct then I don't know what to tell you. Joomla 1.5 and FB currently do not work well together and no 2 setups produce the same errors.

Installed Fireboard 1.0.3 in Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode.

Installation went smooth and everything is working except 'edit css style'.

I get the following error:

Warning...

Your css file is /components/com_fireboard/template//forum.css
You need to chmod this to 766 in order for the file to be updated.

Warning: fopen(../components/com_fireboard/template//forum.css) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/p/o/k/pokerabc.be/public_html/joomla_pokerabc/administrator/components/com_fireboard/admin.fireboard.html.php on line 2343

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for ../components/com_fireboard/template//forum.css in /www/p/o/k/pokerabc.be/public_html/joomla_pokerabc/administrator/components/com_fireboard/admin.fireboard.html.php on line 2344

Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /www/p/o/k/pokerabc.be/public_html/joomla_pokerabc/administrator/components/com_fireboard/admin.fireboard.html.php on line 2344

How to solve this, changing the forum.css to 766 didn't solve the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Dowbload your files via FTP or JoomlaXplorer, edit them and re-upload. I have yet to see a fix for these issues. This is the only workaround.

The FTP way is the easiest. I did get this error to go away by moving the forum.css file to my template directory below uses // and the variable of the template in use is not thrown in there.

../components/com_fireboard/template//forum.css

The errors are gone but i can not save the .css file, did set it to 766 chmod.

Thanks in advance!
