Transfert seem to be OK (from backend) but I can't see my fireboard forum on frontpage :
www.patrimoine-naturel.org/component/opt...fireboard/Itemid,33/

I use OpenSEF, but if it's desactivated, the forum still don't work :
www.patrimoine-naturel.org/index.php?opt...eboard&Itemid=33

I plan on writing a script to import my users.
I assume I have to import my users to both jos_users and jos_fb_users? How do those relate to each other? Of course I only want my users to have one login.

Thanks.

Okay, me again... as I go along I see things that didn't quite work. My users are not tied together with their imported posts. As far as I can tell, the jos_fb_messages table contains the post information as well as the User ID. Is this what ties together the Post with the User?

Because I updated all my own posts with a userid that cooresponds to my ID on both jos_users and jos_fb_users

Thanks

Hello,

I'm sorry for my bad english .

Well, i used this converter in my site with FF 1.0.3 stable. That's right but i have just one bug.

All thread aren't respected... I try to explain

BEFORE IN SMF :

One thread

TOPIC 1
BlABlABLABLABALB
I_ Answer 1 : bbabalbalbalbalbalab
I_ Answer 2 : oh ok blalbalblalblaba
I_ Answer to Answer 2 : blablabalbalba

etc....

AFTER THE CONVERTER

TOPIC 1 : Blalblablalbla
New TOPIC 2 : answer 1 : bbabalbalbalbalbalab
New TOPIC 3: Answer to Answer 2 : blablabalbalba

So if you understand me (i hope !), i lost my "structure" of all my forum's thread ?

Have you got an idea ?

Thanks

I have converted form bridged SMF to Fireboard with some success.

Issues:
  • Attachments are missing

  • Replies show as new topics themselves

  • One of the moderation comboboxes (the second/larger) is not active, so cannot even manually merge these first posts and replies into one thread

  • An attempt to "Move" a thread resulted in the thread itself being irreversibly deleted.

  • Old posts (made in SMF) are not counted in 'User post Count'

  • I could some other things like user ranks etc by adding/updating some database columns.

Overall, though the move was successful, I am left with some important issues

Hi Guys, I found this converter to work very well however, although it picked up all the categories, it did skip some boards showing some categories did not exist. I have to iron out that problem before I attempt to go live.

It also found the attachments and placed them in the correct post. As the author says "I only works with 101 build 1" so it is necessary to upgrade. The best thing to suggest is don't uninstall the old version, rename the components folder, then install the ver 103, move the uploads folder from the older version to the appropriate 103 component folder since this will only be used for historical posts that have attachments. All new attachments etc will go to domainname/images/fbfiles/etc. Delete the old version.

An interesting piece of work, cheers

Ok I am trying this conversion and am running into an error early. I put a folder named com_smftob in the components directory, and unziped the files into it. when i type in localhost/joomla/index.php?option=com_smftob , i get a 404 error. I even tried localhost/joomla/components/index.php?option=com_smftob, it tells me the component is not installed. I am using Joomla 1.5. Could someone please help. The second way doesnt work becuase there is no index.php in the components folder. thanks
