As everyone knows, 1.0.3 is just around the corner. Here are some suggestions before you get ready to take the dive.
- Backup your system. All of it. (You're doing that on a regular basis anyway, right?
)
- Notify your members of possible downtime. You never know what problems to expect.
- Setup a local sever for testing such as JSAS ( jsas.joomlasolutions.com/ ) or a LAMP install ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAMP_(software_bundle) ) Install configure it with your current site and database. Then you can do a dry test run without running the risk of messing up your live site.
- Did I mention backup?
