I appreciate the dev's efforts as much as most but how far away are we from a working and native SMF to FB converter? Also how about IPB to FB while your there

I was just going to ask this question when I saw your topic. I know that the development team is very busy, but I think it's time for a stable SMF->FB converter because SMF is the most used forum for Joomla at the moment. If you want to bring more members and possible donations to the FB project, it's time to offer a rock-solid converter that actually works.

I would be the first one to donate, you guys have $25.00 from me if you can take time to make a stable converter

I'm ready do donate as well for a easy to use SMF to FB converter. I need everthing to come over in the conversion, Avatars and Attachments.

I mean come on, "Best of Joomla" has to realize that there are SO MANY of us affected by the no longer existing JOOMLA - SMF bridge, so I'm ready to jump!

I don't know if there is any interest from the developers or if they even read this but I'll add $150 for a fully working SMF to FB converter if it can be delivered within the next few days. Next few days because I'm working on this myself and if I come up with a solution I won't need it any longer.

This would solve two problems for me. Converting SMF as well as converting phpbb since I used the phpbb to SMF converter that was developed by SMF and it worked flawlessly. Excellent code there that handled a very large db without a hitch and at this point I'd be happy to use it again as a hoop to jump through to get my phpbb into FB.

Yes I did try the SMF to FB suggested here and did not work for me.
It never worked for me either and I have become very, very frustrated because I would either run into MySQL errors or timeout issues since the converter doesn't know how to properly refesh the page to keep it from timing out.

So, now the FB team has over $250 of donations towards this project...AND STILL NO RESPONSE.
