[solved] Can I run Joomlaboard & Fireboard simulta 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago

I'm using Joomla version 1.0.12
Is it possible to run Joomlaboard & Fireboard simultaneously? I want to test Fireboard, but I don't want to lose my original posts from the Joomlaboard. I also want to be able to uninstall Fireboard in case it gives problems.
Also, I'd like to know whether there will be any performance issues while running both at once.

Yes, you can run them side by side. You will be able to uninstall FB at any time without harming the data for JB, or vise versa because they use separate tables.
The only performance issue you would possibly see would be if both forums were extremely busy because you would be making quite a bit of sql queries which is quite server intensive.

Ok, 2 more questions; Let's assume I want to upgrade to Fireboard instead of running both simultaneously:
When I upgrade to Fireboard, will the posts from Joomlaboard be automatically transferred?
I'm guessing the Admin CP is notably different in Fireboard, correct? Could you mention a thing or two about the Fireboard Admin CP?

I don't think you'd be able to do this, unless a script was created or you simply transferred the data over manually, one-by-one. What you're looking to do would essentially wipe out your current Fireboard install and its current data. I would instead recommend running one forum, Fireboard and simply create a category structure that was user and admin friendly.
