I need a little help setting up usergroups. I have a "guys only" forum and a "girls only" forum, both for registered users, but separate genders, of course. Then I have a "student leadership" forum for all Authors and an "adult leaders" forum for all Editors. I need guy Authors and Editors to have access to the "guys only" forum, but not to the "girls only" forum. And vise versa, girl Authors and Editors to have access to the "girls only" forum, but not to the "guys only" forum. How do I set this up with JACL?

Have you managed JACL to work with FB? I installed this patch, but it is not working for me

No, I never got it to work quite right, so I just uninstalled JACL and gave up.

Sry, but I finally got it! There is a small problem with cache and sessions I think - if I delete some user from group, he still can see this specific forum.

I am too having a small issue with the user rights and I see no one else mentioning it...

It doesn´t matter wether i Install the com_patch or not, only the admin view in Admin Access Level is different, where I can after the patch see my usergroups...

The issue is this:
SEE ACCESS - I can already set so the lower groups and guests cannot see the specified category...
WRITE ACCESS - This I cannot adjust. No matter what I set the Admin rights to.. still the lowest guest can post a subject into the specified category

Yes, this is right. JACLplus-patch for FB only controls access to forums. Write access handling is not implemented.

sorry guys but is there a patch ready to work with fireboard1.4? i've used the FB1.3 one, perfectly working and now i'm waiting for the next one.. does anybody have? seems like byostech site got's problems ..it's almost a week..so i ask here.. can anybody help?
