Stupid question perhaps? Where do I find the com_smftofb component zip-file???

The only stupid question is the one not asked!

It is located in another thread on the SMF_FB converter. Just click on this link and it will download it for you.

Hi

I like to say thanks to "bunglehaze" for the quite comprehensive guide, and the good news for me that with a little tweaking it worked for me so

Now I only have a small forum of a 100 posts or so, the problem of all post being assigned there own thread No wasn't really that much of a problem, but for some one with thousands of posts it would be a serious problem.

So as a point to concentrate for any of the converter coders is a way to marry up the fields 'thread' and 'parent' from the fb_messages table with the 'ID_Topic' and 'ID_Board' fields in the smf_messages table. wish I had an idea on how

That was all really that went wrong except a few smilies went a miss but no serious problems.

So thanks again because I had tried quite a few flavours of converter with some pretty weird results.
Only thing don't rush this method it takes time so be prepared to wait

Hi all

I have a SMF forum with 720 users. 6 are collaborators for the web, and has a user for Joomla too.

I'm trying to get FireBird as forum, and all seems good, but only 6 users are sync (the 6 existing in joomla installation).

How can I get all the users created in joomla?

All I know about this is that I had synchronised my users in the smf configuration, but I think it was part of the bridge component you don't mention if your board is in the same db or separate, I know it makes a big difference

I backuped the SMF forum and copied into the joomla database.

But, I didnt't found a template for WAP (my site is for BlackBerry users), and I think, FireBoard, is not for me at the moment

After I installed fireboard and executed the sql statement. I have uploaded the com_smftofb folder to /components.

When I update the url and execute this command I get a Page no found.

yourdomain.com/components/index.php?option=com_smftofb

i have backed up all the way to index.php and everything works.

What am I doing wrong. I did change the yourdomain.com to the my own url

Thanks, it is converting now.

EDIT: Any idea why many posts are empty? All the users and topics are there, but there are a ton of missing posts, just entries with no text.
