Manhag - I'm by means no expert - But.. A little insight and more explaination is going to need to be required than "i tried but failed". By that wording, I'd say try again and succeed. What's it doing? What's it not doing? Any errors?

Also just in passing.. I don't understand your signature. You DONT hate a moderator, where dont for whatever unknown reason links to the Firefox page.. And there is some karma crap in the bottom line, with a link that goes to a page that is not there, or incorrect...??? Gotta be the more busted up, nonfunctional signature I've ever seen

I looked at gossiper. Cute site. We might be interested. The site that I'm building is called SpellingCity.com. Traffic recently has been phenomenal so I'm interested in investing in the site. Questions:

- have you done any implementations with high volume traffic?
- are we on a version of joomla and fireboard that you are compatible with?

- if the message gets stored in html then you're 90% there. All you have to do is see where in view.php the fireboard code makes the message text "html-safe" by escaping the html tags. Comment that out and you'll have it.

- I haven't tested this with high volume traffic. Its speed shouldn't be substantially different from the default speed of the wysiwyg editor you're embedding. Some are slower than others. The less functions you, enable the speedier.

- This hack should work on any version of joomla and fireboard but some of the steps may vary. It's just a matter of dedication.

I noticed you mentioned this to someone else too. For the record - I'm no one here, just another user. This topic (which was not created by me) has existed without the mention of "commercial" in it, and has always been updated by people who care about this idea. If you want to run off and post something commercial using it and post about it, or add to your signature "use wysiwyg in FB here!!", so be it. But as a user and member here - I would personally request that you stop toting your l337 commercial skills here, at least in this thread.
