Having FireBoard sit within a specific page? 1 Year ago
Well, this seems like a very smart forum...and so please excuse me if this is a dumb question.

I just installed the FireBoard component (stable version) into Joomla! (1.0.13), and I can't figure out how to change the location of the component. Meaning, how do I tell FireBoard where to sit within my site? Example: I want it to sit under "community forum", and not where it is now - which is the default location.

Wild guess: maybe using a site module? But then, how do you tell the site module to pull in the FireBoard component?

Any help would be really really awesome!

Hey - thanks for the super quick reply! ...the template for the actual Joomla! site, or the template for FireBoard?

Okay - figured it out. The answer was sitting in a question in this forum from a while back. I went back to try to find the post so I could link to it, but couldn't find it. I'll explain what I did...

All you have to do is, within your Joomla! user menu (once you're loged in) go to Menu > menu manager > click on the "edit" icon for what ever menu item you need. Then, you'll see all you menu items. Add a new menu item by clicking the icon in the top right. Now, select "component" from this list...and on the next screen you'll be able to indicate you want the FireBoard component on that page.

Hope this helps someone!
