hi newbie here. I'm did a fresh install of the lastest version 1.013 and I'm using Dorona Brown. Both are install sucessfully. I assigned it to a menu. However I don't know how to chose top level category for my forum. I went to new forum/category and created I thought was a category. I'm getting this message

There are no categories in the forum defined yet.
An administrator should create them first from the
Administration Panel of the Joomla! OS CMS.

How do I create a category. What do I do first? I'm confused. I need steps.

OK, I went on another fireboard forum and there seem to be a bug with the SQL for the categories. But the fix is for 1.5 and I have 1.12. I'll look for the fix.

When I change no parent to the name of the category everything disappears.

I have the same problem currently. Please link me to the other forum. Maybe the fix can be applied to both 1.5 and 1.0.13 joomla.
