If you are getting errors when inserting the SQL upgrades in PHPMyAdmin for 1.0.1, try inserting them one at a time. If you get an error, the SQL statement will stop and following statements will not be executed.

The upgrade process is pretty scary. I think I'll just wait until there is a better way.

....is this where we report issues?

When I upgraded, the custom template I made is completely fooked?

Were there that many changes to the css (or has something else gone awry?) ... and if so, when will this type of thing stop, so I don't go wasting my time again...

It appears that they have changed quite a lot in how templates work. It was clearly stated in the upgrade instructions that the old templates would not be compatible anymore. Though I wonder if there is some guide or something where they explain what exactly they have changed and how.

The only reason not to do it that way tj is because your users will loose their avatars they set, and also the files that were attached with their messages in the forum will get lost. So if you will have a larger community on your forum in the future, this wont be a good idea..i dont know how to do it otherwise..the manual mentioned is to difficult for me..so i hope they will come with an easier update procedure in the near future..

I thought the discussbot used here on bestofjoomla.com and the one for download are different ones... The one use on this site is a custom discussbot that has not been released yet as far as I know.. am I wrong? Is the one used here the same as the one for download?
