yes i agree with astrood00d, take a pill Bojan1983. This is a working in progress, and they already did a great job.
there is apparently a russian version who is "supposed" to have less bugs, help yourself but i suggest you buy an english/russian dictionary with it.

also, if you look on the top right of this window you'll see a little red board hanging saying: "BETA", and beta version are known to have bugs because they define a software/script in development.

so you haven't switch to smf hopefully because you know or you read that on a long run, it is much better to have a forum as component rather than a bridge for speed and usability. unless you are like the joomla! dudes who runs their forum on heavy duty hardware and have serious admin guru to optimize everything.

Bojan, i dont know which version you are running of fireboard. I have myself the Nightly Build version, and not the latest 1.0.1. beta..and im running it without any bugs, except the userlist and announcements arent working, but this is just something minor..so perhaps for now, you should run an older version with minor bugs and then you will have more patience to wait for the stable version..im sure (as it is a stable version) the boj team want it to be close to bug free..its more important they achieve this than to release a stable version half july as said in the roadmap, that still has bugs. Then i prefer to wait a bit more...

is your more recent or older than 1.0.1?

Hey bob, if you look at the homepage of this site, you first see the message of the 1.0.1. beta release, the message under it is called Nightly Builds and there you have an older version that came before the 1.0.1. beta, in that same message you can download that version, it's attached to it...just scroll the frontpage. It's similar to the first release, but i guess with many bugfixes in it..and it works very well for me at the moment! (cause im not good enough to follow the upgrade instructions to install the 1.0.1 beta version )

any how, i will try on a clean install and compare with the beta version.

i just can't wait for the stable release. this component is really too cool and very promising for the future of joomla.

You are so right, i cant wait for the stable release either! I just hope there is an easier way added to this version to upgrade..cause messing with mysql is to difficult for some of us.

I have to admit that i havent tried the 1.0.1. beta version, but i saw on this forum the bugs and problems it had, which i dont have with the nightly build version. Also some new coding or something for the templates has been added to 1.0.1., while im still using the version where the first templates can be used on. Anyway, im not sure if the nightly build has less bugs than 1.0.1 beta, i guess this is different for every user/site..but you can give it a shot!

i just hope it's soon and that we'll get something along the line of the this forum. the profile part is pretty good. not too much and not too little.

some forum such SMF are very good but the admin panel is very exhaustive, a bit too much for a lot of people. i think the spirit of FB is the same as Joomla!, bring a software that used to be complicated to the mass by requiring only a bit of knowledge, but that still give a nice tool to the gurus to make their even better. it's a win-win situation for everyone.

By my mind it would be great if the SVN copy availabe at JoomlaCode would be a working copy. And those who can't wait would use it for their own responsibility.

that sounds like a good idea.
would that be complicated to have this set up. it's not to everybody's reach to know how to work with SVN system. so if a version is put together like the 1.0.0 it would great. And it might also help to discover new bugs if used more widely.
