I am not ready to goto 1.5 and like to avoid encoded products, I will install on 1.5 test site and give it a try but doubt even if it worked we I would go that route.


So what would it take for com_bestofresources to be released

One word wow if this (com_bestofresources) will be released it would be realy cool!

I've done a full fledged conversion(not a bridge) of Pligg over to Joomla! for a site I am launching Jan 1st. I'm guessing there would be allot of interest in a component like this, so I will probably release it at some point. ETA 8 weeks.

I want this Component. I know Best of Joomla site using that component. I checked it using firebug. But where did best of joomla download that component. The component is called com_bestofresources.
Also that pligg like component for joomla is already out and this site is using it for their news and resources section. But that component is in Beta right now. I wonder why they are using beta version on this site. But it looks like it is working.

Apparently, we use Joomla! as the Content Management System.

I was looking for this stuff. How did you know I was looking for this. I guess I cannot get that Custom inhouse component. I think that Danialt guy is using component from www.nsorg.com/index.php/projects/open_so.../tutorials_component
He probably altered the code. It just look like that. Now he is not releasing that code which is not cool.

hello danialt, If com_bestofresources is ready for 1.5.1, it would be great if you could release it (even commercially).

i tried com_tutorials on 1.5.1, but it did not work.
i don't think com_bestofresources is based on com_tutorials. com_tutorials is joomla section/category based, but com_bestofresources appears to be using tags.

Did you try com_resource?
