Eric, can you set up a temporary username and password? Since we are not seeing this, it could be a deal that it ONLY happens when you are logged in.
Let's give that a try.

I always set up a "John Smith" account to check theses things. You'd be surprised at what you can see logged in as a regular user as opposed to being an admin all the time.

as for the long page load I am coming up with two errors in ie7 you might wany to check out related to the listcat.php file. Something about 'abstract' not being defined and something about object doesnt support this property or method

EDIT: I am also getting "object doesn't support" error on mine in ie7. I will have to look into that.

try re uploading that file from a zip file and see if it goes away.

OK I don't get it.
I have heard everyone in here complain about the issues of Numinu Template Rt templates. I went and purchased a membership today simply to test numinu on the RT templates. It is working better on RT than it does with my own, and runs faster. I have been playing with it for almost all day with ZERO glitches.
I know you will ask which template have I tested it with. ALL OF THEM!!!
I have my own web server with me being the only one on it so it makes it nice for the amount of space the 300+files I downloaded today. The worst part of it is that I am on a windows server and figure I should have more problems then those running linux.

In numinu on several of these templates, the quick reply is actually always open at the bottom of each post. So for a quick reply, all you have to do is type and away you go.

So after saying this, does this mean that mootools and jquery play better together on windows then on linux?

I can't help you with the RT themes. I know that it doesn't work with the Beyond template and the YooTools from Yootheme. Maybe it does work better in windows....interesting...

Sheesh, and here I thought you and the others had RT LOL. So now I have to go purchase a yootheme subscription?

I'll deal with that tomorrow. If I have the same luck and all works, then it may very well be an issue with linux vs windows. That will be the joke of the decade, Windows better than linux.

I tried to get more information about my phenomena with the total relaod. I deleted some programs in the windows tasks manager, I tested the website with IE7, Firefox and Opera, I tested it in my office with another pc: everytime I have the reload phenomena.

And then I visited a friend with an older firefox and there the reload didn't occur.

So I have really no idea what happens. Other RT templates doesn't have it, only the Equinox and the Equinox Essentials.

But I see following: if I install and publish the mambot "XAJAX System Mambot For Joomla", then the reload occurs at every link!

Hazzaa ... its interesting in that the quickreply DOES work in the Yootheme template if you run fireboard with the default template. With this one it doesn't (and the profile popup doesn't work either throwing js errors).

See one of my above posts, that is related on how the template caches its files. There is a fix for it, but for some reason you have to pay for the script. The bug isn't with numinum itself its a bug in joomla. Which really isnt a bug just a template/joomla/fireboard design/conflict issue.
