Looking for a converter from IPB to fireboard.

we have about 2000 users and 80000 post.

anyone got a connection for that??

Hi all!

This is my contribution to this great community:

This script is a phpbb3 to fb/joomla converter it converts all including all the smilies in phpbb3..so all the smilies posted in phpbb3 (or all others that you have uploaded) are converted to you fb (you fb smilies desapear..sorry)..

1º step in the config.php put your db info (username db name etc etc you will see in that file)

2º run it.


3º and final step: After the running the script you have do copy your smilies from phpbb3 to your smiles directory in your template language..(if you have any problems with this do what I did when a smilie is not showing see the properties and then you will know were to put the smiles)

Note: remmember that joomla uses userid 62 as a superadmim and if you have an user_id62 as a user in your phpbb_users table you have to change it..or after change it in your joomla users table
I only had a problem after running this script it was that.. the userid62! Because after everything was converted I had do create a super admin by hand in joomla because my user_id in phpbb3 was user_id 2 and not user_id 62!

This is my contribution and I can help running it...please this was a paid script and Im offering it to all of you...

If you have strange characters its because of the fb bbcode parser and you have to run this in your phpmyadmin..

Hi.

There is a problem, this script only works with joomla 1.0.x.
If you want, I can modify your script for it works with 1.5 and to have 1 script for every version based in yours.

Few question. I see it is only possible to define one username, it might be a problem for some people. On my server, 2 databases, 2 different usernames but in the config file, there are two databases that canbe used with only one set of credentials...I can't give twice the same username. Would it be possible to get the script to use 2 different db with 2 different users?

I guess there is a misunderstanding. My eplanation might be confusing.Let me clear this up

In the script, I can setup 2 databases but only one user

Sorry..misunderstud...about the user you can use what I used (my cpanel user name..if you have cpanel in your host..so its the same for all databases)..I didn use any phpmyadmin user..only my cpanel user in that config file..
