Just wanted to post a quick note explaining *why* I'd decided to have people wait for the beta1 link submitted here instead of making a general access download link available - hopefully it'll clear things up a little and reduce or eliminate the inevitable link requests.
The beta1 version I'd uploaded here is just that - a BETA. Even though I'd addressed MOST of the issues that had come up in the previous 50-plus page post about Numinu, it's still bound to have several items that have to be fixed or adjusted.
Rather than having 15 different versions of the beta being posted (like we did in the previous thread) I am hoping that an organized approach to moving the file to a RC or Stable state will prevail. Not only will it cut down on the "but this doesn't work, or that doesn't sit right" posts, it'll ensure that what was originally released as an unsupported ALPHA template finds it's way in short order to a Stable release that has a great deal of support.
It's not that anyone wants access to the beta1 version restricted - quite the opposite, since it was already submitted for general access and is only awaiting publication. It would be extremely helpful, and very beneficial, if no one is stepping on anyone else's toes in trying to move this to a stable version.
If I had more time, I would be doing that myself - but I don't, which is why we are where we are today. And I am confident that once the most active people in the two threads on this template sink their teeth into it (in an organized manner) it will quickly move to being a stable version.
