What I need to know is which RT/YT templates were everybody having a problem with? Was it just the ones using prototype.js or????

The YT templates use mootools and this is where the conflicts are with Fireboard and with the Numinu template. You can inspect the conflict here.

guy like me huh? i was one of them that put 40+ hours into this thing in the past 3 days to get it available for people like you that keep asking when will it be available, just be glad we spend the time on this WITHOUT GETTING PAID to work the bugs out to make your life easier.

On a side note, I offered to pay money to someone on this site, Danial T, and he asked me to send him the project details. I did, and he never replied.


So you see ? I offer money, and I got no response. And it was a huge sum of money because I had a client paying for this. Danial T did not reply. Maybe he's too busy. I don't know. So either way, money or no money, what's the difference if you get no answer ?

Ok since I am the one getting this mootools conflict addressed, I would like to know which issues need to be addressed, to keep this thread from being hijacked, I would like to start a new post so people can state what ever issues they have. As I am not sure if its just with the vcard or other core fuctions of fireboard.

EDIT: I should mention that as I wrote this a couple of other posts were made that render some of this message moot - but it's still relevant and I'll leave it as is.

Now now guys (especially matty and ragots) - let's not allow this thread degenerate into a mud-slinging free-for-all. That is NOT what all the work that's gone into making the new release is about.

Numinu-Rejuvinated is the product of a LOT of work done by a small group of people (that can be counted on one hand, literally, with a finger or two cut off) over a very short period of time - and one that is being given free of charge. Rather than demanding it, I think a more appropriate course of action would be to appreciate the fact that people are willing to do as much work as they have in their SPARE TIME (Hazzaa and papokergod even put MORE than spare time into it) to give it to you all for free.

Personally, as the guy that spent as much time as I did in bringing around the beta so that Hazzaa and papokergod could run with it, I'm offended that instead of seeing a "Hey, thanks for all the effort" I'm seeing "My life depends on the release of Rejuvinated". We don't HAVE to give you any of this hard work to "save your life" - you could have at the very least said "Thanks for the hard work guys - my life depends on it when it's done".

But NOOOOOO - there's a batch of people here who think it's their God-given right to demand something that turned into quite an amazing project, with no regard for the work that's gone into it behind the scenes. That's not only disrespectful, it's insulting - and you people who have behaved this way should be thankful it was even done at all, and done at no charge to you.

Ragots - I have a question specifically for you, and I ask this with all the respect I can muster: if your "life depends on the release of Rejuvinated", how much work have you done on improving it? How many messages have you posted that THANK the people doing all the work on getting it improved and released? The original Numinu was AN UNSUPPORTED ALPHA release - this new one took a lot of time and effort to move it from unsupported alpha to a stable version that WILL have support. Does your forum trump the appreciation these guys DESERVE for making it a better layout for you in the first place?

I would respectfully suggest that you take this "me first" attitude you have about this release and leave it outside the door - you'll get the finished product (as will everyone else) when it's done, and you'll get it for no cost. The LEAST you could do is say thanks for the effort. The VERY LEAST you could do is appreciate the fact that it's been done at all.

You're welcome. BTW - I didn't mean to "single you out", and I hope no offense was taken with what I'd written. It's just very frustrating when you pour as much time as you do into helping others, only to be demanded of more.

I don't know if some people don't understand my post (I'm not english) but I was defending Hazaa & papokergod and others which (or "whom" ? ) spend a lot of time working on this and I found "ragots" post very inappropriate...

For everyone, this was NOT done in anticipation of expecting something in return, it was done because we wanted to do it.
No one asked us to do it, WE OFFERED.
Past few days, we have all worked hard and I'm sure the frustration is currently showing.

Everyone else, this really shouldn't get out of hand, we have made the template available for download as previously mentioned. You want it, go get get.
It is being released as an RC-1. There are a few more features we are adding to it before we call it stable. BUT IT IS AS STABLE AS STABLE IS in Joomla

If you have any one that downloads it, wants any support or feature requests to this template, post them there.
