Wow! This board completely bombs Joomla Absolutely great!!!

Would be nice to have an "expert search" in the future (like phpBB & SMF). The integrated search from Joomlaboard is quite unusable

We have it, but half done it is already in the code.

I understand you well, as we did this because we were sooo frustrated with other solutions

Wow. Joomla is really making huge progress this year with such additions as the new JCal Calendar Component and now Fireboard. Glad to hear the search function is in the works.

Thatīs why I ask, I looked in: www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,co...ew/id,17058/catid,3/ and could not find anything about it.

So I guess, there is no progress about this then?

I brought this up 2 days ago in a thread asking for the advanced search feature to be implemented since there seems to be a folder in the install called advancedsearch. It looks like work was started on it but never finished.

I DID a search for it before I asked, and the latest one regarding Advanced Search that I found was from 2007/10/30.

Maybe there wont be any advancsed search then.

I don't think this is what is being said. What I am understanding is that the feature for advanced search is there but has not yet been implemented. This could mean that the developers have started the work on it but for some reason have set it aside to work on other things.
To me this could mean that they ran into some sort of issue and decided to put this feature on the back burner for now. I'm sure it will be coming in the future.
