How do I appoint a Moderator who can moderate? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I raised this in the Documentation forum
but haven't seen an answer there and I don't see a similar question in the Solved Issues.

I have appointed several Moderators using the User Management interface. The users look like moderators from their posts (their information tags them as Moderators), but they don't have any of the options I'd expect to see. No Edit, Delete, nothing.

Any ideas?

Fireboard 1.04, Community Builder 1.1 and Joomla! 1.5.1 with Legacy 1.0.

Have you actually assigned forums to them to moderate in the Moderation Section of the User Details.
Highlight "Yes" Is Moderator and Highlight Forums that they are to moderate.
