There is a problem in smile.class.php, function htmlwrap more specifically. In the version in the patch, the regex checking for UTF8 causes Apache to crash on two of my Debian/Ubuntu systems, when long posts are in a thread. All details here:

Hey everyone, I've been reading through threads, and have found that this thread seems to be related to my issue the most.

I've just got my fireboard forum up and had a user use the IMG tag to post a message. The image causes the forum thread to bleed way over off of the screen because the image is so large. I edited the post and changed the IMG size to be smaller but it has no effect.

I'm viewing it in IE.
Is there a patch or something wrong with my template? I'm not sure because the IMG resize should have addressed it right?

Here is the link to the post.

I'm also going to post the image here from the the thread and see how this forum handles it:

Using
Code:

Using
Code:

Is Fireboard still under development?? Still can not fix bugs like Preview pointing to some error on smile.class.php

Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /xxx/test/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/template/default/smile.class.php on line 42

Font Size not working

Size Small
Size Very Big

Can anyone point me how to fix, and yes searching forums, google whole day

You did NOT mention whether or not you applied the patch supplied in this very thread.

Ironside/Ben Dover said I was supposed to be an expert!! That\'s funny! I don\'t remember getting certified to be a FireBoard expert.

hello guys. i use this patch: http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/user/4...loperPatchSVN551.zip
and finally signature image respect the IMG setting.

btw, can the code is adjusted so that user will use fixed size, or it will fits in the forum no matter what size and resolution it is, rater than wrapped inside the forums using framebar

tq

The width of any image will be capped by the forum width set in the backend configuration of Fireboard.

BTW I recently patched most internal href links to be 'nofollow' to make FB more SEO.

What are the most annoying open bugs in this patch version? I will have some time this week, to put in a couple more fixes and create a new patch version.
