1. How or where do I create the birthdate field needed for the mod_fb_birthdate to work? The instructions stated Fireboard profile table.

2. I've checked the user profile which FB uses to list board users but there is no option to specify birth date for the user.

3. I've gone through FB configuration and User administration, and there is no option either to enable or create such a field.

Please help. That is the only thing missing from fully implementing FB on my site. Thx

I installed this to see what the deal was.
Click on My profile>My Profile info. This is NOT in the config. It is accessed right from the front page.
Enter all pertinent info. The birthdate filed is there.
Also make sure the module is published. I didn't have to alter anything in the module parameters.

Thx I see now. It was not clear that the configuration needed to be done in FB.
One more thing, how or where do I add the checkbox option in FB to hide the age field as directed in birthday module configuration?

It doesn't really say. It either will display the age or not so I guess the field needs to either be filled in with yes/no or true/false in the module parameters.

Just to see if i am understanding your advice. You say to enter yes/no true/false in the module parameter to show/hide age field.

In the module parameter, there is no such option. It only has a text field where to indicate the fieldname of the check box that has been created in the FB profile table to give a user the choice to show or hide his age.

My problem now is how to create this field in FB profile table. Or more simply, where is this profile table and is it modifiable? Do you know if anyone has implemented the hide-field option?

I didn't say anything. I'm just guessing and there IS a field in the module parameters. Just no drop down with any options. I was guessing it was either yes/no or true/false. Did you try contacting the plugin developer for assistance with his plugin?

Just to follow up you cannot put ANYTHING in the field that says "Hide Age Field" unless you have created such a field first. It doesn't SPECIFICALLY say it is created in the database. As a matter of fact it is most UNclear WHERE it is created.

"You can also optionally add a checkbox field which allows the user to specify that they wish their age to be hidden. Fill in the name of this field in "Hide age field"."

So yes/no or true/false DOES NOT get entered into that field. Only the name of the field that you have to create in come unknown location in some unknown manner.

So if I understand you correctly, the option to hide the age field cannot be done since I don't know how or where to create the suggested field in the FB profile table.

Thx for your patience with me. All I need to know is if and how to implement the option to hide the age field. I can also use a pointer to a documentation that tells me how to do this.
I've sent the plugin developer a PM without a response thus far. It is a great plugin and I am surprised that I am the only one who wants the age field hidden or is struggling with this issue.

If anyone out there can help, I will truly appreciate it. The plugin does not merit a limited use due to this problem.

Another question would be if and how to modify the referenced FB profile table. Where is this table and is modifiable? That way one can accomplish the goal mentioned.
