Guys, rather than ask a number of separate questions, I thought I'd just tell you where I am and where I want to go...

I am here:
Mambo 4.5.3h
SMF 1.0.8
Mambohacks Bridge 1.3.1.3


I want to go here:
Joomla 1.0.13 (or Joomla 1.5 - not sure though)
Fireboard latest

I understand that there is no bridge required when Fireboard is used. Is that correct? That would be a huge bonus! The SMF bridge is a constant pain in the rear.

Obviously I can migrate from Mambo to Joomla easily but the forum part is trickier, especially making sure my users integrity is maintained. Also, I understand that attachments are not yet included in the conversion.

Thanks for your help, really excited about Fireboard!

OK, I followed the instructions, got my smf database copied over to my joomla db, installed fireboard 1.01 build 1, put the smftofb code in components, and was able to open the page here: meadfest.org/index.php?option=com_smftofb

However, when I click on any of the buttons, nothing happens. It just sits there. I checked my error logs, and don't see any errors, so I'm stumped.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Running:

Joomla 1.013
SMF 1.1.4
Fireboard 1.01 Build 1

you have to login as a super administrator in the frontend first before you open the link http://meadfest.org/index.php?option=com_smftofb

I was gonna attempt the conversion today but it seems all download links for the converter are broken now with the new site.

Thanks for the files. I appreciate it !

Unfortunately I don't get very far. I get this when I try to install the forum:
component_Fireboard_Forum_1.0.1_build_1/avatars/gallery/airplane.gif does not exist!
And then ist just stops the install. The pic is there btw. I checked.
Couldn't find another download of the build_1 so I am stuck.

smf ---> joomlaboard ---> fireboard worked for me around 1500 post were converted correctly i didnt have any childboard and not so many attachments so thats why i choose the above mentioned method
