phpbb 3.0.0 ... Fireboard 1.4 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi All,
I'll launch a new website and will use latest Joomla release. I'll need to have a forum in my website and was comparing latest release of phpbb 3.0.0 and Fireboard 1.4.
Any advises?
Thanks

Ironside/Ben Dover said I was supposed to be an expert!! That\'s funny! I don\'t remember getting certified to be a FireBoard expert.

I am sorry if I was not clear enough, I mean if I want to compare the two forums software, which one I can depend on and according to which criteria I should compare both of them?
I am new to websites and forums world, and found that phpbb is the most widely used in the web, so I am a newbie guy who is asking guys who know better with a better experience in this aspect.
Thanks

Ultimately the criteria is what YOU set and defined by the needs you and your user base will be placing on the forum itself. Please check the link I provided to help you make your decision.

Thanks for your reply mate, please the link you posted above is not complete, may you please check it again because there is a part of the url address I do not follow ... com_fireboard/Itemid,38/func,view/id,41040/catid,77/ ...
Also please I was inquiring or wondering why Joomla.com is not using fireboard and using phpbb 3.0.0 instead.
Thanks

Copy and paste the entire link. As for Joomla.org that's something you need to ask them.

Thanks for your fair chart, I will go for phpbb 3.0.0, is it possible if I asked for which bridge or integrator is working best and stable for latest joomla and latest phpbb
Thanks
