Well, there was a spotlight about the recent discussion about the newsletter bestofjoomla has sent out to all registered users here.

All i want to know is what we can expect in the future concerning the one and only reason so many users are registered here: FIREBOARD!

I dont care about tempaltes, but i have thre growing communities running, using fireboard with version 1.0.4 and still many bugs that need to be fixed.

Several months now without any update. It seems you guys have lost your focus. Fireboard has become only a little part of this once great site.
I see ads, templates, and other stuff i dont care about all on the site, but NOTHING new about the development of fireboard!

So be honest to your users - Will there ever be a new fireboard version? And if yes, will it be commercial or for free!?

Actually I came here for just template and resources. I am not using fireboard. I like bestofjoomla template and resources features. I was using long time ago joomlaboard. They stoped to development because of this kind of bad reviews(no donation, no support etc). No body supported joomlaboard and fireboard comes out. If you still talk about like that you can lose fireboard too.

Actually it was sticky post and they made announcement for this. Maybe some replies was not english. That's why moderators deleted that post or mod made mistake . Because I was reading , it was for newsletter. They decide to send newsletter to members for latest news and they will use getresponse email service because of un-spam email.

I think spam and limit. Some server has a daily limit for sending email. If you try to send thousand of emails ,newsletter will be blocked, also they can go spam/junkbox. Thats why a lot of sites using this kind of emailing service. I try to acajoom before but they had security problem, I tired to upgrade every mouth

We were going to release fireboard 1.1.0 alpha version and we want to do announcement for this. All emails going to spam box and I thought we can use professional emailing service for bestofjoomla announcement. But we got some problem with getresponse.com then we stoped. Actually getresponse.com sent some confirmation email to our members but not many (~250). That's why I deleted that post because of we will not use getresponse.com for newsletter.

Sorry everyone, as greatpixels said he tried to use this GR service and they look crazy. So I told him not to use it.

Anyway, Fireboard 1.1.0 alpha is out. take a look at it.
