Re:How to have a fullscreen fb ? 9 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I am sorry, but maybe i am a bit slow, because I can not figure out how to get this going for the life of me. I am at the point where I would pay someone to help me out with this!!!! I have been working on this for weeks now without success.

My site is www.crimsonreavers.com

is there a way to setup joomla to just run the fireboard in particular in a different template, for example solarflare, so that i can do the things previously listed to get fullscreen fb ?

the template itself is too complicating for me to configure, so if there is a way to have joomla just change templates when a menu component link is clicked on JUST FOR THAT PARTICULAR link, that should fix my problem

ALSO, is there no way to just run fireboard in its own window without the joomla template even present?

I dont need ANY of my joomla template items to show up, whatsoever... i just want the forum solo fullscreen

if anyone can help me out, i will be forever indebted to you.

Sincerely,
justin

OK that should help making a new blank template, so my next question would be: how do i get fireboard (a joomla component) to open in a new window WITH A SERPATE template than the default....

As in, when you click the link to FB forums, it will open a new window using a template that is not used in the main page... i would need to assign FB to change templates but only for FB

Assign it (the blank template) to Fireboard in Joomla.

you have been so helpful this seems like this will work for me... I appreciate all your correspondence.. Would it be possible to help a feeble minded person (me) with a step-by-step of how to "Assign it (the blank template) to Fireboard in Joomla"

like a menu -> location -> location type thing?

Site>Template Manager>Site Templates>Put a tickmark in the blank template>Click Assign>Highlight the forum menu item>Click Save.

There will also be the good chance that when it opens with the blank template many CSS items will need to be defined in Fireboards forum.css file.

OK So that worked, somewhat. Now if you go to: crimsonreavers.com/home/index.php?option...eboard&Itemid=56
for example, and click under the RECENT POSTS section on the 'test' post, you can see that it then pops up with the forum post in the front-page template...

keep in mind i assigned the forum to solar flare, which should be ok for right now.

If you're talking about reverting to the default template please check the link at the bottom of the post I referred you to. It has a proposed fix to prevent that.

OK, Well the problem now after applying hte patches is that When you Post a new thread, it automatically redirects back with the default old template.

Is there a way to turn off automatic redirect so people can just click "[ Return to the post ]" instead of it automatically redirecting?
