Im having a couple of problems text is coming out as a whole even though seperated into paragraphs, also links do not get converted to bbcode or images

Well, I tried just adding everything as you said, I was unable to comment out the exact lines as they do not exist in my 1.0.4 version. The HTML does not register as BB, the interface is fine, but once I post, it just shows the HTML text as plain text with tags and all.
Any suggestions?

I have to ask since this may shed some light but there are differences in th files in a full 1.0.4 install and a 1.0.4 upgrade. Possibly that has something to do with it?

Yeah, i also think thats the problem as i have installed full 1.0.4 not the upgrade.

I've not tried this hack yet but I think I will later on tonight when the wife leaves. I've got a pristine install of .4 that I can work on.

I can only help if someone tells me exactly what the posts look like on their code after trying to implement my mod. If you are seeing the html tags in the post, do they have any special characters around them that prevent them from being displayed as actual HTML in your browser?

everything shows up in plain text, with all HTML texts being shown with all greater and less then signs (BoJ forums wont render those signs)
